The St. Louis Fur Pipeline, a bronze pipe lid embedded in the sidewalk in a busy street in St. Louis, Missouri, makes manifest the absurd notion that there are pipes running beneath our feet that carry necessities (water, sewage, electricity, natural gas) and adds the absurd possibility that fur flows beneath our feet as well.
